Energy Innovation Showcase

Thursday, November 11, 2021
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM EST

Current Duke students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the Energy Innovation Showcase, where we’ll spotlight the work of North Carolina energy innovators. Come learn more about how the clean energy future is taking root locally—and meet the players who are making it happen.

We believe that innovation takes many forms, so we’ll be introducing you to technology, policy, finance, energy justice, and development efforts and experts accelerating a clean and equitable energy future. Some will be joining the event virtually, while others will be attending in person.

The event will kick off with a 30-minute keynote address on innovation and the future of clean energy in North Carolina. This talk will be followed by a two-hour tabling session, when you’ll have the opportunity to network and learn about the work of 15-20 organizations from North Carolina whose work impacts local communities and the world.

In addition, Energy Data Analytics PhD Student Fellows from schools across North Carolina will be on hand to discuss their innovative research projects applying data science techniques to energy challenges.

Refreshments will also be available during the tabling session for participants to enjoy outdoors, in keeping with current Duke University COVID policies.
